Provided is a connector with a shutter having improved dust protection performance and shielding performance. A receptacle (30) is provided with a receptacle main body (31), a housing (33), and a shutter (330). The shutter (330) includes a pair of doors (313, 315) provided inside the housing (33). The doors (313, 315) swing on both sides with insertion or withdrawal of a plug (10), make a closed state for the opening when the plug (10) is not inserted, and make an open state for the opening when the plug (10) is inserted. An edge part of a door (113) and an edge part of a door (115) have respective opposing walls (114, 116). The opposing walls (114, 116) have meeting surfaces (123, 127) that transect the axis of a plug main body (11) and overlap each other when a shutter (130) is in the closed state. The meeting surface (123) is a wall surface with a step shape coming out from the back surface (122) of the door (113), and the meeting surface (127) is a wall surface with a step shape coming out from the front surface (125) of the door (115).
