Disclosed is a connector in which separation between split retainers is suppressed, thereby making it possible to inhibit an external force propagating along an electric wire from being transmitted to the terminal side.　A connector 10 comprises a plurality of terminals 12, a plurality of electric wires 16, and a back retainer 18 that is made from a synthetic resin and is assembled together on the side by a connecter housing 14. The back retainer 18 includes split retainers 42a, 42b, each of the split retainers 42a, 42b has a split projection 46 located between the plurality of electric wires 16, and by fixing the split retainers 42a, 42b to each other, the split projections 46 are combined with each other to form an electric wire retaining projection 48 disposed between the plurality of electric wires 16. The electric wire retaining projection 48 includes first tie attachment sections 58, the plurality of electric wires 16 are bundled together and fixed in close contact with the electric wire retaining part 48 by means of a first cable tie 65 that spans between the first tie attachment sections 58, and the split projections 46 are pressed against each other from both sides in a first direction.
