Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a contact-type power supply device which has a simple structure but is capable of passing a steady electric current between cylindrical bodies over a prolonged period of time; and a contact unit which is disposed in a contact-type power supply device. [Solution] This contact-type power supply device is provided with a first cylindrical body, a second cylindrical body, an annular body, and a contact body. The second cylindrical body encloses the first cylindrical body so as to be disposed concentrically therewith, and is configured to be rotatable about the central axis of the first cylindrical body. The annular body encloses the first cylindrical body so as to be disposed concentrically therewith, is configured to be not in contact with the second cylindrical body, and has an end face that is a tapered sloping surface. The contact body is disposed so as to face the annular body in the axial direction of the first cylindrical body, is electrically connected to the second cylindrical body, rotates, together with the second body, about the aforementioned central axis around the first cylindrical body, has a contact surface that abuts the sloping surface, and slides on the annular body so as to accept the electric potential of the annular body.
