[Problem] The purpose of the present invention is to provide a container unit-type, cogeneration-utilizing engine generator device in which, while a longer generator container housing the generating function portion is the basic container configuration (a monogeneration container), it is possible, as an option, to accurately link a pipe system between two smaller cogeneration containers even if these are manufactured separately. [Solution] This container unit-type, cogeneration-utilizing engine generator device is characterized by consisting of a combination of: a longer power generator container (20) housing a component which is disposed on the side of a power generator main body and which includes an engine (21) and a power generator (22) driven by the engine; and a shorter waste heat utilizing container housing a waste heat utilizing device which includes a heat exchanger (3) and a boiler (4) that utilizes the waste heat of the engine to generate steam and warm water for hot water supply. Setting a reference plane A such that the short-side walls on one end in the lengthwise direction of both containers are positioned on the same straight line, with this reference plane as a reference, the combination container unit is configured by arranging the longer power generation container and the shorter waste heat utilizing container parallel to each other in the length direction by making the longitudinal walls of the containers face each other via the facing walls (1b/20b), and, in the container short side length direction, multiple pipes (2a, 26a, 7b, 26b) link the two containers by spanning the facing walls of the thusly arranged containers.
