Abstract:

A container having a lid body and a container body that are openably and closeably connected to each other by a shaft and a shaft insertion section, in which the amount of a gel-like object used is reduced with sufficient braking effect of the lid body achieved. A shaft (23) is inserted in a shaft insertion section (24) such that a lid body (3) pivots relative to a container body (2) about the axis of the shaft (23) to open or close. Urging means (27) for urging the lid body (3) in the direction in which it opens. A viscous material is placed between the shaft (23) and the shaft insertion section (24) so that the lid body (3) opens gradually relative to the container body (2). In order to expand the area at which the shaft (23) and the shaft insertion section (24) are in contact with each other through the viscous material, a fitting projection section (31) is provided on either the shaft (23) or the shaft insertion section (24) and a fitting recess section (30) in which the fitting projection section (31) fits is provided on the other.
