Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a contrast agent injection device and a method for using same, the contrast agent injection device comprising: a syringe in which a contrast agent is stored; a diluent syringe in which a diluent is stored; a mixing unit in which the contrast agent and the diluent are mixed; an input unit into which a specific value is input; and a control unit which determines the concentration of the contrast agent from the input specific value, wherein the specific value is at least one of: the kind of contrast agent; the magnetic field strength of an MRI device; and a flip angle of preparation pulse (FAprep), an inverse time (TI), a flip angle of excitation pulse (FAex), a repetition time (TR), and an echo time (TE), which are sequence parameters of the MRI device. According to the present disclosure, provided is a contrast agent injection device which can attain the optimum contrast effect of a contrast agent by automatically adjusting the concentration of the contrast agent for obtaining a medical image by an MRI device.
