Provided are a control channel monitoring method, terminal, and network-side device, relating to the technical field of communications; the control channel monitoring method comprises: a terminal receiving signaling sent by a network-side device; wherein the signaling is used for indicating a resource type of a time–frequency domain resource; according to the resource type of the time-frequency domain resource indicated by the signaling, the terminal determining a control channel resource to be monitored.
