Abstract:
The purpose of the invention is to obtain, in a control device for a synchronous electric motor that performs PWM drive control without performing current feedback, a configuration capable of stably driving the synchronous electric motor in all rotation speed ranges. This control device 1 comprises: a torque clamp generating unit 40 that sets a torque clamp value; a command generating unit 10 that, on the basis of a rotation speed command and said torque clamp value, generates a voltage command without performing feedback of a current passing through a motor 2; a PWM signal generating unit 20; and an inverter unit 30. In a startup range of the rotation speed of the motor 2, the torque clamp generating unit 40 sets a startup limit value as the torque clamp value, and in a range other than the startup range of the motor 2, the torque clamp generating unit sets a normal limit value as the torque clamp value. At a rotation speed in the startup range, the startup limit value is greater than the normal limit value and is greater than a torque clamp value capable of rotating the motor 2 continuously.
