Abstract:
An EVC (10) comprises: a torque application unit (101) for applying braking/driving torque to a drive wheel; a rate calculation unit (102) for calculating a slip rate indicating the slipping state of the drive wheel with respect to a road surface; a coefficient calculation unit (103) for calculating the coefficient of friction of the drive wheel with respect to the road surface; a coefficient estimation unit (104) that sorts combination data consisting of the slip rate calculated by the rate calculation unit and the coefficient of friction calculated by the coefficient calculation unit into selected data and non-selected data and estimates a maximum coefficient of friction which is the maximum value of the coefficient of friction using a plurality of pieces of selected data; and a torque calculation unit (105) that calculates the braking/driving torque using the maximum coefficient of friction estimated by the coefficient estimation unit.
