　There is demand for a control device that can, as appropriate, selectively execute startup control via the transition of a first engagement device to a slip engagement state, and startup control via a starter motor; and that can appropriately determine whether or not to transition a second engagement device to a slip engagement state during the startup control to control the engagement state of the second engagement device. In this control device, gearshift slip control is executed when a gearshift slip allowance condition is satisfied, gearshift slip control is not executed when the condition is not satisfied, starter startup control is executed when the gearshift slip allowance condition is not satisfied and the vehicle speed is not at or above a determination speed, and either starter startup control or rotary electrical machine startup control is selected in accordance with the vehicle required torque when the gearshift slip allowance condition is satisfied.
