Abstract:
A drone (10) determines whether landing is possible at a destination. When the landing is possible, the drone lands and performs an operation for releasing cargo. When the landing is not possible, the drone performs an operation for delivering cargo without landing. Methods for delivering the cargo without the landing include, dropping cargo from a main body of the drone (10), dropping the cargo from an altitude lower than the altitude of the main body of the drone (10), or causing an object that can hold the cargo apart from the floor or the ground at the destination to hold the cargo. A delivery method is selected from among these plurality of delivery methods according to the attributes of the cargo to be delivered by the drone (10) and the environment when the drone (10) is to deliver the cargo at the destination.
