Abstract:
In the present invention, an in-cylinder direct injection type internal combustion engine is controlled so as to perform multistage injection, in which fuel is divided to be injected multiple times in one combustion cycle, while varying the number of injection times according to an operation range. In addition, fuel vapor generated in a fuel tank is supplied, as vaporized fuel, to the internal combustion engine, and control is performed such that the operation range in which the number of injection times in multistage injection is large becomes narrower in the case where the amount of vaporized fuel supplied to the internal combustion engine is large, compared to that in the case where the amount of vaporized fuel supplied to the internal combustion engine is not large.
