A determination unit determines whether the last operation end of a digital broadcast reception device (100) is an abnormal end or not when the digital broadcast reception device (100) is started. A starting management unit selects a channel different from a last channel that is a channel being selected at the last operation end of the digital broadcast reception device (100) when the digital broadcast reception device (100) is started if the last operation end of the digital broadcast reception device (100) is an abnormal end.
