Abstract:
Provided are a control rod operation monitoring method and a control rod operation monitoring system for monitoring, at all times, the insertion of control rods in an entire reactor core while a nuclear reactor is in operation, and for issuing a signal to countermeasure equipment that activates automatically and a warning prompting an operation by an operator if an abnormality occurs. LPRM detectors in each LPRM assembly in the entire reactor core are divided into four channels on a height basis, and indication values are averaged at all times. If, by comparing the average value and a setting value, there is an abnormality, a signal is issued to countermeasure equipment, for example.
