Abstract:
A DC/DC converter (100) bi-directionally transmits power and has a first switching circuit (4) connected between the primary winding (8a) of a high-frequency transformer (8) and a DC power supply (1) and a second switching circuit (10) connected between the secondary winding (8b) and a battery (2). The first and second switching circuits (4, 10) have capacitors (6a to 6d, 13a to 13d) connected in parallel with respective semiconductor switching elements (5a to 5d, 12a to 12d) and first and second reactors (7, 9) connected to the AC input/output lines. When power is transmitted, the switching circuit (4, 10) on the primary side of the high-frequency transformer (8) performs zero voltage switching and the switching circuit (10, 4) on the secondary side performs a boosting operation using the reactor (9, 7).
