Abstract:
Provided is a coolant supply structure for a turret tool head wherein a central portion of an intermediate shaft can be effectively utilized as a hollow portion, and it is not necessary to make a shaft, such as a drive shaft, which is to be inserted in the intermediate shaft, hollow. A coolant supply structure is provided in a turret tool head (1) which is provided with a turret (12) having a tool (T) mounted thereon, a hollow rotating shaft (15) for rotating the turret (12), and a hollow intermediate shaft (19) arranged in the rotating shaft (15) to supply a coolant to a tool mounting portion of the turret (12). A tubular member (23) is inserted in the intermediate shaft (19), and a space defined between the tubular member (23) and the intermediate shaft (19) forms a passage (24) for the coolant.
