Abstract:

Provided is a cooling device with which suitable cooling performance can be obtained with respect to the amount of heat generated by a heat-generating source. A cooling device (1), which cools an HV device (31), is equipped with: a compressor (12) for circulating a refrigerant; a heat exchanger (14) that exchanges heat between the refrigerant and the outside air; an expansion valve (16) that decompresses the refrigerant; a heat exchanger (18) that exchanges heat between the refrigerant and air-conditioning air; a cooling unit (30) that is provided in the route of the refrigerant flowing between the heat exchanger (14) and the expansion valve (16), and that uses the refrigerant to cool the HV device (31); a bypass route (41) that bypasses the expansion valve (16) and the heat exchanger (18); and a switching valve (52) that selectively switches between the flow of refrigerant running from the cooling unit (30) to the expansion valve (16) and the flow of refrigerant passing through the bypass route (41).
