Abstract:
According to the present invention, by using a member fabricated with brass containing hard lubricant particles obtained by finely dispersing and retaining highly lubricative MnS within αFe-Fe2Mo-Fe7Mo6 particles of relative hardness and high toughness through reaction sintering, it is possible to significantly reduce wear level of a slide member due to wear resistance and self-lubricating effect of the hard particles. For example, when used for a bearing in a rotative part of a turbo charger, it is possible to achieve further increase in power output, improved efficiency, and prolonged service life while simultaneously increasing fuel efficiency and promoting exhaust purging.
