Abstract:
This copper-and-titanium-containing composition includes: a titanium oxide having a rutile-type titanium oxide content of at least 15 mol%; and at least one type of divalent copper compound indicated by general formula (1). This production method for the copper-and-titanium-containing composition is characterized by agitating and precipitating a mixture including a titanium oxide having a rutile-type titanium oxide content of at least 15 mol%, a divalent copper compound raw material indicated in general formula (2), water, and an alkaline substance. As a result of this invention, the copper-and-titanium-containing composition has excellent anti-viral properties in bright locations and dark locations, and excellent organic compound degradability in bright locations.
