Abstract:
A corona discharge assembly and ion mobility spectrometer using said corona discharge assembly. The corona discharge assembly comprises: an ionization discharge chamber, comprising a metal corona drum (314), the metal corona drum (314) having an inlet for gas to be analyzed, and a ring plate-shaped port having a circular hole in the middle and forming with a corona needle (305) a non-uniform electric field; a rotating shaft being insulatingly mounted on the drum wall of the metal corona drum (314), the rotating shaft being perpendicular to the axis of the metal corona drum (314), and a rotary plate fitted with a plurality of corona needles (305) on the outer edge thereof being mounted at the end of the rotating shaft. The invention improves the overall corona discharge assembly service life, reduces the discharge voltage of the ion source, and increases its discharge stability; in contrast to suspended installation of needle-shaped electrodes, the plurality of corona needles (305) is fixed on a PCB (301), thus accurate and stable positioning of the electrodes can be achieved during installation, making mass production easier.
