Abstract:
A corrosion sensor 1 is an electric resistance type corrosion sensor that comprises a sensor unit 11 including an electrical conductor that is exposed to an arbitrary environment, and a reference unit 21 including an electrical conductor that is blocked from the environment. The corrosion sensor 1 measures the amount of corrosion of the sensor unit 11 on the basis of electric resistance values of the reference unit 21 and the sensor unit 11. The sensor unit 11 has a width set to satisfy an equation (II) . As a result, the corrosion sensor 1 offers excellent accuracy of measurement of the amount of corrosion. Equation (II): w ≥ (32 × tlimit)
where tlimit is the maximum amount of corrosion [mm] to be measured, and w is the width [mm] of the sensor unit 11.
