Title:
CORRUGATOR, AND ITS SPLICING PORTION DETECTING METHOD AND DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2009/057608
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Intended is to eliminate the detection failure of a splicing portion and the malfunction
of a detector in the production line of a corrugated board sheet. Also intended
is to realize automated detection means, which is improved in the detection precision
of the splicing portion. Provided is a corrugator splicing-portion detecting
method, in which the splicing is performed by adhering the starting end portion
of a second corrugated board medium (50b) on standby, to the trailing end of a first
corrugated board medium (50a) being let off, during the process of manufacturing
the corrugated board, and in which the splicing portion (1) is detected to exclude
the broken sheet (S) including the splicing portion, selectively on the downstream
side of the manufacturing process. Ultrasonic waves are emitted by an ultrasonic
transmitter (61a) to corrugated board media (SC and FL) on the upstream side after
the cutting step of a corrugated board (DC) manufactured. After this, the ultrasonic
waves having passed the corrugated board medium are received by an ultrasonic
receiver (61b) so that the splicing portion (1) is detected in terms of the change
in the attenuation of the received waves. The broken sheet (S) including the
splicing portion (1) is selectively excluded on the basis of the splicing portion
detected information.
