Abstract:
The invention relates to a sharpener (1), particularly a cosmetic pencil sharpener, comprising a sleeve-like sharpener housing (2) whose inside diameter (4) for rotationally guiding the pencil to be sharpened is dimensioned so that it is somewhat larger than the outside diameter and whose inside length is dimensioned in such a manner that it enables a pencil end section to be conically sharpened by a sharpening blade (3) diagonally projecting into the inside cross-section. Another sleeve-like housing section (7) is situated at the end (6) of the sharpener housing (2) opposite the insertion end (5) and is separated from the sharpener housing (2) by a partition (8), and the inner area (9) of this housing section is provided in the form of a tight blind bore with an inside diameter (10) approximately corresponding to the outside diameter of the pencil to be sharpened and, in the form of a pencil protector, can be slid onto the pencil with press fit.
