Abstract:
A control mechanism for a fuel injection pump, having an electronically controlled governor and a cold start advancer mechanism. The governor actuates a rack actuator by a controller and regulates the position of a control rack. The advancer mechanism actuates by the controller an actuator for advancing angle, opens and closes a sub-port for an overflow, which port is provided at a plunger barrel, and advances the time of injection at low temperatures. The amount of control of the control rack by the controller can be individually set for the case where the actuator for advancing angle is actuated and the cold start advancer mechanism is ON (characteristic line 61a) and for the case where the actuator for advancing angle is not actuated and the cold start advancer mechanism is OFF (characteristic line 61b).
