The present invention relates to a system and method for crop monitoring and analysis, and comprises: a spectral detector, a mobile terminal and a data analysis platform which are connected in sequence; the spectral detector is used for acquiring spectral data of crops to be tested; the mobile terminal is used for acquiring image information of the crops to be tested, and for sending the spectral data and the image information of the crops to be tested to the data analysis platform; the data analysis platform is used for generating crops monitoring results of the crops according to the image information and the spectral data of the crops to be tested, and feeding the monitoring results back to the mobile terminal. By means of the crop monitoring and analysis system and method according to the embodiments of the present invention, a user of the mobile terminal may be informed of the monitoring results of the crops in a timely manner, affording the user a clear understanding of the growth status of the crops, which serves to appropriately control a fertilizer and to improve crop yield.
