Abstract:
A cross-flow fan made of a resin enabling the elimination of an annealing step and a reduction in the quantity of disks and having excellent fan strength and air blowing performance and a method of manufacturing the cross-flow fan. The cross-flow fan (1) comprises a plurality of blades (2) and a plurality of plates (3, 4, 5). The plurality of blades (2) are disposed annularly around the rotating axis of the cross-flow fan. The plurality of plates (3, 4, 5) comprise insertion parts (33, 43, 53) formed of holes or grooves into which the blades (2) are inserted and projected parts (34, 44, 54) projected from the peripheral edge parts of the insertion parts (33, 43, 53) in the direction of the rotating axis, and are disposed at intervals in the direction of the rotating axis. Then, the blades (2) are fixed to the projected parts (34, 44, 54) by laser welding.
