Abstract:
Disclosed is a current measurement device that can detect detected current with high sensitivity and high accuracy, and can be made more compact and with a simpler configuration: a current measurement device—which is equipped with: a plurality of GMR elements (12-1 to 12-N) each provided with a fixed magnetic layer (18) having a fixed direction of magnetization and a free magnetic layer (20) having a direction of magnetization that varies by an outside magnetic field; and a computation unit (21) that determines the magnitude of the detected current from the outputs of the plurality of GMR elements (12-1 to 12-N)—wherein the plurality of GMR elements (12-1 to 12-N) are disposed in a ring around the periphery of the conductor (13) through which the detected current flows, and the plurality of GMR elements (12-1 to 12-N) are electrically connected in a manner so as to configure a series variable resistor.
