Abstract:

This cutting insert has: a seat surface; an outer peripheral surface; a top surface; and an attaching hole. A cutting blade includes a curved corner cutting blade part, a linear first cutting blade part that is contiguous to one end of the corner cutting blade part, and a linear second cutting blade part that is contiguous to the other end of the corner cutting blade part. The top surface includes a first rake face that is contiguous to the first cutting blade part, a second rake face that is contiguous to the second cutting blade part, and a third rake face that is contiguous to the corner cutting blade part and contiguous to each of the first and second rake faces. The third rake face has a first region that is contiguous to the first rake face, and a second region that is contiguous to the second rake face. The rake angle of each of the first rake face and the first region is a positive angle. The rake angle of each of the second rake face and the second region is a negative angle.
