Abstract:

A cutting insert according to the embodiment of the present invention has: a first groove, which has an upper surface continuous to a first cutting blade, and which extends in the longitudinal direction; a pair of second grooves, which are continuous to a pair of second cutting blades, respectively, and which extend in the longitudinal direction; and a pair of protruding portions, which are positioned between the first groove and each of the pair of second grooves. The pair of protruding portions are continuous to edge surface cutting blades, respectively, and the distance between the protruding portions is increased in the direction away from the edge surface cutting blades. A cutting tool provided with the cutting insert, and a method for manufacturing a cut product using the cutting tool are provided.
