Abstract:
A cutting part of this cutting insert according to an aspect of the present invention has a first surface provided with a corner, a first edge, a first region, a second region, and a third region. The first region is located along the corner and the first edge. The second region is located inward of the first region. The third region is located inward of the second region. The boundary between the corner and the first edge is a first point. The boundary between the first and second regions at a cross-section that passes through the first point and that is orthogonal to the first edge is a second point. A virtual straight line that passes through the first and second points is defined as a first virtual straight line. The first virtual straight line intersects with the third region.
