Abstract:
The objective is to improve durability while making it possible to maintain an excellent cutting plane and feeling of use with a simpler configuration. Disclosed is a tabletop circular saw (1) for which a main body equipped with a saw blade (10) that is rotated by the driving of a motor (8) is provided to be capable of vertical movement on a base (2) on which a material to be cut is placed; the output shaft (9) of the motor (8) is provided parallel to a spindle (13) of the saw blade (10); and an automatic torque adjustment mechanism (20), which is equipped with a drive pulley (21), a follower pulley (22), and a belt (23), and which automatically adjusts the torque transmitted from the output shaft (9) to the spindle (13) according to the load when the saw blade (10) rotates, is provided between the output shaft (9) and the spindle (13).
