Abstract:
This cylinder rod of a hydraulic cylinder is provided with a body part (21) having a rod shape, and a head part arranged at the longitudinal end of the body part (21). A surface film (92) is formed on the outer-peripheral surface (21A) of the body part (21). The surface film (92) includes, by area in cross section, 56.1-84.4% of a chromium carbide phase, the remainder comprising a nickel-base alloy phase and an oxide phase. The area ratio of the chromium carbide phase may be 61.7% or more.
