Abstract:
Provided are a data generating device, a data generating method, a program, and a recording medium that make it possible to generate display image data for displaying a plurality of images in an appropriate order. A data generating device of the present invention comprises a processor that executes: setting a display image group to which an order for when a plurality of images included in an image group are displayed is assigned; changing the assigned order to create a plurality of display image groups; compressing, for each of the plurality of display image groups, the image data of each of the plurality of images included in the display image group according to the assigned order, thereby creating compressed data; and selecting, on the basis of information related to the data amount of the compressed data, a display image group that satisfies a first selection condition from among the plurality of display image groups.
