Disclosed are a data processing system, a memory mirroring method and apparatus, and a computing device, relating to the field of computers. The system comprises a plurality of nodes and a management node. A first node requests to mirror a first area in a memory used by the first node; and the management node allocates a second area, the second area being used for indicating a storage space, in a second node, having the same size as the first area, and the second area being used for backing up data of the first area. When a node does not raise a memory mirroring demand, storage resources in the system are used for storing different data, and only when a memory mirroring demand is raised, a mirroring area is allocated from the storage resources of the system, so that the mirroring area backs up data stored in an area to be mirrored, thereby realizing high data reliability. In addition, the area to be mirrored and the mirroring area may be storage spaces in different nodes, so that the mirroring area can be flexibly and dynamically allocated to realize memory mirroring, thereby improving the flexibility of memory mirroring configuration and the utilization rate of storage resources.
