Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of data storage technology. Disclosed are a data redistribution method and a device. The method comprises: calculating, when providing a service to an external party, a usage temperature of data, and pausing, when it is determined that the data must be redistributed, the service of a database server to the external party to temporarily close the service (201); first moving hotspot data in the database server (202); and restoring, after moving the hotspot data, the service of the database server to the external party, and continuing to move non-hotspot data in a back end (203). The invention greatly shortens a time used for data redistribution and shortens a service downtime caused by the data redistribution.
