Abstract:
Disclosed are a data storage method and apparatus and a storage system, wherein the method is applied to the storage system. The storage system comprises at least one first memory; the storage system further comprises a second memory; the at least one first memory comprises multiple storage areas; and each storage area in the multiple storage areas is a unit performing garbage collection. The method, by defining a length of time between the earliest expiration time and the latest expiration time among expiration times of effective data stored in a target storage area to be shorter than or equal to a preset time length, makes the expiration times of the effective data stored in the target storage area relatively concentrated, which, in a process of garbage collection in the target storage area, facilitates reduction in the time occupied by effective data migration to improve efficiency of garbage collection.
