Abstract:
Provided are a refrigerator (10) with a heat insulation door (17) being installed on a heat insulation cabinet (11) without using a hinge ring, and a method for manufacturing the refrigerator. An upper end cover component (27) of the heat insulation door (17) of the refrigerator (10) comprises a locally recessed accommodation portion (30) and a hinge hole (31) formed on the accommodation portion (30); a hinge mechanism (32) for enabling the heat insulation door (17) to be installed on the heat insulation cabinet (11) in a freely rotatable manner comprises a hinge plate (33) and a hinge shaft (34), which is vertically installed on the hinge plate (33) and rotatably inserted into the hinge hole (31); the hinge plate (33) of the hinge mechanism (32) is accommodated in the accommodation portion (30); and an inner side opening portion (40) of the hinge hole (31) is sealed by a cover component (35) made of synthetic resin.
