Abstract:
Disclosed is a data transmission system. The system comprises a network device and a host. The network device is used for acquiring, from the host, data in a first storage space. The network device is further used for performing redundant computation on the acquired data in the first storage space so as to generate redundant data, and then storing the redundant data in the network device. The network device is also used for reacquiring, from the host, the data in the first storage space, and then sending the redundant data and the reacquired data in the first storage space. By means of the technical solution, instead of storing both acquired data and redundant data in a network device, only the redundant data is stored in the network device, thereby improving the usage efficiency of memory resources of the network device in a system redundant backup solution, and saving on the memory resources.
