Abstract:
The present invention provides a design support device capable of adding a design rule to a new shape and associating the new shape with the added design rule, even in the case of shapes which are not expressed in advance in 3D-CAD data. This design support device is characterized by having: a shape creation unit for inputting three-dimensional data having a shape and creating three-dimensional image data which has a new shape; a feature shape recognition unit which recognizes the new shape by using a shape and a label defining shape type on the basis of the created three-dimensional image data which has the new shape, and defines the label which corresponds to the new shape on the basis of the recognized new shape; and a design rule creation unit which performs a search of the saved design rules to determine whether or not the label corresponding to the defined new shape is included therein.
