Abstract:
Provided is a novel desktop hydrogen gas generation device in which various issues in conventional devices, such as problems in making the device smaller or portable, have been improved. A desktop hydrogen gas generation device (1) according to the present invention is, as shown in figure 2, provided with: an electrolysis plate (5) formed by adhering a pair of electrode plates (500) on the respective sides of an ion exchange membrane (510); an electrolysis tank (6) comprising a hydrogen gas generation tank (602) and an oxygen gas generation tank (601) which are partitioned by the electrolysis plate (5) and which each store pure water (13) that will be subject to electrolysis; and a hydrogen gas pressurization unit (7) which extracts hydrogen gas, generated from the hydrogen gas generation tank (602), whilst pressurizing the gas at a pressure which suppresses the water level of the pure water (13) stored in the hydrogen gas generation tank (602) from rising to or above a prescribed level.
