Abstract:
A detection device is provided with, in a detection unit 40: a sensor 41 that serves as a sensor that can detect at least shapes; a storage unit 44 for storing, as mark shape information, shape information for a counterweight 34, which is part of a construction machine detected by the sensor 41; and a determination unit 45 that determines whether the mark shape information matches detected shape information that is new shape information detected by the sensor 41 for the counterweight 34. The detection device is further provided with a processing unit 52 that determines whether the detected shape information satisfies a preset update condition when the determination unit 45 has determined that the mark shape information does not match the detected shape information, and that, when the update condition was determined to have been satisfied, sets the detected shape information as the new mark shape information and updates the mark shape information stored in the storage unit 44 with the mark shape information stored in the storage unit as the new mark shape information.
