Abstract:
This developing device (4) includes: an accommodation portion (45) for accommodating a developing fluid; a supply portion (45b) for supplying the developing fluid in the accommodation portion (45) to a developer carrier (41); and a replenishing portion (47) for replenishing the accommodation portion (45) with the developing fluid. The accommodation portion (45) is provided with a wall portion (46) partitioning the accommodation portion into a first region (A1) containing the replenishing portion (47) and a second region (A2) containing the supply portion (45b). A communication portion is provided under the wall portion (46) so as to establish communication between the first region (A1) and the second region (A2), thereby allowing the developing fluid replenished in the first region (A1) to move into the second region (A2) through the communication portion.
