Abstract:

A device for controlling heating of a throttle valve of an automobile engine, in which, in one embodiment, conduction of electricity to a heat generation body (4) for heating the throttle valve (2) of the engine and the periphery of the valve (2) is performed only in a period in which the heating can be effectively performed. More specifically, a controller (53) receives an output signal from an airflow sensor (54), and electricity conduction to the heat producing body (4) when the amount of intake air is not more than a predetermined "intake air amount for determining execution of heating," and prohibits electricity conduction to the heat producing body (4) when the amount of intake air is more than the "intake air amount for determining execution of heating."
