Abstract:
Provided is a device for automatically and swiftly examining the application state of a plurality of pieces of a fibre-reinforced plastic tape applied side by side on a surface of a structure, while maintaining examination-quality duplicability. More specifically, provided is a device for examining the application state of the plurality of pieces of the fibre-reinforced plastic tape applied side by side on the surface of a structure, said device being provided with: an illumination unit which irradiates an area to be examined with observation illumination light; an observation unit for observing reflected light from the area to be examined; and an examination unit for examining the application state of the tape. The illumination unit is configured including a plurality of irradiation units which are lit simultaneously. The plurality of irradiation units which are lit simultaneously are disposed such that the area to be examined is irradiated with the observation illumination light from two directions which are mutually symmetrical with respect to a normal line of the area to be examined. An illumination-direction changing unit, which changes, about the normal line, the two directions from which the area to be examined is irradiated with the observation illumination light from the illumination unit, is provided to the illumination unit.
