Abstract:
A device for forming a dough strand out of a dough mixture (28) has a hopper (2) whose underside is provided with a discharge opening (4) for the dough. Two parallelly arranged shafts (6), which are driven in opposite directions whereby effecting a downward movement of the dough, are connected to this discharge opening. The shafts (6) are provided with profiles, which act upon the dough and which are formed by star limbs (5). The shafts (6) are arranged in a fixed manner and are rotatably driven in a timed manner. The star limbs (5), whose number per shaft (6) is even, block the downward flow of dough over the majority of the axial length of the shaft (6) when they are pointing toward one another, however, they are alternately provided with cutouts (10) at the shaft ends for permitting the flow of dough during the pauses of the timed rotational movement of the shafts (6). Two deposit belts (12) are arranged in the longitudinal direction of the shafts and in an interspaced manner underneath the shafts (6).
