Abstract:
The invention relates to a device implementing video conference screen sharing. The device is characterized by: a transmitter establishing a connection to a terminal having a screen to be shared, wherein the terminal comprises an SVC encoding module therein, and the SVC encoding module performs SVC encoding on a video image to be shared and transmitted from the terminal having a screen to be shared, so as to generate a SVC sharing video stream; a receiver connected to the transmitter, connected to a video conference server and communicating therewith, and used to receive the SVC sharing video stream from the transmitter, and forward the same to the video conference server; and the video conference server forwarding, to a terminal of another video conference participant, the received SVC sharing video stream. In comparison to the prior art, the invention has the advantage of being simple in operation. The video conference server is not required to decode or encode a received sharing video stream, and is only required to forward to terminals of other video conference participants the received sharing video stream, being light in load, and causing no processing delay.
