Abstract:
A device management method and an apparatus, the method comprising: a first device sends a scan signal, and a answering device sends an answer signal to the first device on the basis of the received scan signal. The first device determines, according to the received answer signal, that a recorded area to which the answering device belongs in system device information obtained by the first device from a second device is incorrect, and sends an update instruction to the second device, wherein the update instruction is used for instructing the second device to update the recorded area to which the answering device belongs in the system device information stored by the second device. The present technical solution helps to improve the accuracy of recorded areas to which various internet of things devices belong in the system device information stored by the second device, and when a terminal device receives a control command from a user, the terminal device can effectively control an internet of things device corresponding to the control command on the basis of the more accurate system device information recorded in the second device.
