Abstract:
This device (12) for controlling a continuously variable transmission exercises feedback control so that an actual speed change control value equals a target speed change control value. The control device (12) is provided with phase lead compensation units (136, 137) for compensating for the phase lead of feedback control, phase lag compensation units (145, 146) for compensating for the phase lag of feedback control, and a phase compensation on/off determination unit (133) for stopping compensation by the phase lag compensation units (136, 137, 145, 146) when an unstable travel state of the vehicle is detected and restoring the lag compensation when the travel state of the vehicle has changed. A damping effect is obtained while securing the stability of speed change ratio of a continuously variable transmission that performs lead compensation.
