Abstract:
Disclosed are a device and method for preparing a spherical metal powder for 3D printing. The device comprises: a shell (19), a crucible (5) arranged inside the shell (19), and a collection bin (13) arranged at a lower part of the shell (19), wherein a rotary plate (11) arranged in a powder collection area has an embedded structure, a material with a poor thermal conductivity is selected to be a base body part of the rotary plate (11), a metal material, a wetting angle with droplets, being less than 90 degrees, is embedded into a main body part to serve as an atomization plane (30) of the rotary plate (11), and a vent hole (31) is provided in the rotary plate (11). In the preparation method, a pulse microporous injection method and a centrifugal atomization method are mainly combined, the structure of the rotary plate is matched, and induction heating is carried out on a surface of the rotary plate, so that metal liquid breaks through a traditional fission mode of molten metal and realizes a fibrous fission mode, which can be realized only when an atomization medium is a water solution or an organic solution, thereby preparing a high-melting-point metal powder having a fine granularity, controllable particle sizes, high sphericity, no satellite droplets, and good fluidity and spreadability, and being suitable for industrial production.
