Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a device for preventing retreating of a vehicle pedal assembly, said device suppressing retreating of an operation pedal when a dash panel is deformed toward the rear of a vehicle in the event of the vehicle being subjected to a front collision. The present invention provides a device for preventing retreating of a vehicle pedal assembly with which it is possible to suppress retreating of the operation pedal regardless of the state of an output member. A brake pedal device 1 has a pedal bracket 10, an operation pedal 20, an intermediate lever 25, a connection link 30, and a sub-pedal bracket 40. The intermediate lever 25 is provided with a deformation-inducing part 26 having a beam part 27 and an aperture 28, and the sub-pedal bracket 40 has a stopper 46 as a contact part 45. When the vehicle is subjected to a large load from the front, the stopper 46 of the sub-pedal bracket 40 is brought into contact with the beam part 27 of the deformation-inducing part 26 due to the relative displacement between the dash panel P and the instrument panel reinforcement I, so that the beam part 27 is damaged, and the intermediate lever 25 is bent around the deformation-inducing part 26.
